The Bills' preseason training camp has been at my alma mater St. John Fisher University (formerly a college until last July) since 2000. In all those years, I have never bought or worn any Bills attire, until this past Friday. Ask my friends, my family, I am a very very loyal person especially to my sports teams, in good times &  bad . The NY Jets have really tested my loyalty this past decade, but I continue to root, cheer,  and defend them. In the aftermath of a tragic weather event there is usually much Monday morning quarterbacking about how it was handled. Such as the response to Hurricane Katrina by federal & local agencies to the city of New Orleans.  Many New Orleans residents were left homeless, without food and water, and stranded without any transportation. The fire situation was ignored for several days. The overwhelming makeup of those affected were people of color.   The aftermath of the Dec. 23-25th winter storm in the Buffalo area  is that many people of color are stranded, dwindling food supply, impassable streets and lack of electricity. The Perfect Storm  is one of my all time favorite movies. One reason, is that it was the last movie that we watched with my Mom/Grandma Pat a few days after Christmas 2000 . Yes, we rented it from Blockbuster.  2 1/2 months later, Mom died from leukemia. So, that Christmas was my Mother's last Christmas. I feel fortunate that she & Dad visited us for a couple of days. They both played  board games and dominoes with their granddaughters. All the money in the world cannot buy better presents.
