This is called the "Prophecy Candle" and recalls the prophets, particularly Isaiah, who foretold the birth of Jesus Christ. It represents  hope or expectation of the coming Messiah . IT'S NATIONAL FARMER'S DAY !! If you eat food, everyday is NATIONAL FARMER'S DAY . I was fortunate to be surrounded by farmers growing up. Both grandfathers were farmers, and many relatives. September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month - a focused time for advocates and supporters of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to raise awareness both locally and nationally about our efforts to fight blood cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin's disease I give in memory of my mother, Patricia Schmitt who died of leukemia in March 2001. Please consider donating to the : LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY   $$$ Sept 18, 2003 Light the Night Walk in Rochester Light the Night Walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; Genesee Valley Park; 5:30 p.m. registration, 7:30 p.m. walk; Participants must raise a minimum of $25; Nationwide evening walk will celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer; Prizes will be awarded according to the amount of money raised. We raised over $3,000 in memory of Pat Schmitt ,   Stuart Alexander  , & honor of Lauren Schmitt
