The 3rd Week of Easter
Bread of Life
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.
John 6:51
We are now more than two and a half weeks into the joyous Easter season—a time of celebrating the Risen Lord. And what greater time to recommit ourselves to being Eucharistic people with hope to bring! Are we allowing the Holy Eucharist to be at the center of our sacramental-moral life?
The Catehism of the Catholic Church describes the Eucharist as “the source and summit of the Christian life” (par. 1324). This means we ought to orient our life on the holy sacrifice of the Mass. However, our true joy comes not in seeing the liturgical celebration as an imposition but rather as a privilege.
Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for dying on the Cross, rising to new life and giving us yourself—Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity—in the humble appearance of the holy Eucharist. We pray this in your holy Name.

I think I have been telling this story well. Today, Gloria, a friend from COTR ,and I shared the present of Holy Eucharist with a stranger, a fellow Catholic at her home. We did more, we stayed and visited with her for about 45 minutes or so. It was a pleasure to spread the Good News of our Lord & Savior. Amen.
