God is Love. This is the Message of Christianity.

God's love πŸ–‡πŸ”—

Tru dat...
And if it was God’s will, then it was God’s will for Ted to die at an early age. Just like when parents lose a loved one, a parent, child, or unborn fetus. Parents suffer through miscarriages. The fetus is an initial blessing that joins the parents to new life, and in the tragedy of losing the fetus it joins them even more. The fetus’s life is still life, still a blessing.
Like having a puppy. It is a blessing to find and adopt the puppies we have, but life leads to death. As I experienced when Ted died, it can be death that occurs within the embrace of love, with people who love us. This is God’s will, too. It is all part of accepting life. Accept God’s will, which involves such incredible diversity and change, blessings, and sufferings, too. But it is not my will, it is God’s will.

January 1987 , we suffered through a miscarriage , our first pregnancy.  It was heartbreaking, truly heartbreaking.  Just the two of us at home , not knowing what to do. I called Fr. Bruce Amering , our pastor at Blessed Sacrament Church .
Blessed Sacrament is where we exchanged Holy Matrimonial vows 26 months earlier. Faith is my rock. Fr. Amering said he would be out to visit us later in the evening.  We now lived in Webster about 20 minutes away from Blessed Sacrament.  It was winter and the roads were darkly lit most of the way to our home.
Fr. Amering came and was very comforting, we talked about loss & we prayed. He was very comforting and a very kind man.
My parents drove up from Long Island for the weekend. They were a huge emotional and spiritual support. They took our minds off of the loss of an infant.
Of course, we went to Mass on Sunday morning. Tears were flowing as we walked up the same steps,  that we descended the first time as husband & wife in November 1984. Joy & sorrow, but both occasions were love based. Fr.
Amering greeted us, his words still resound with me today, "Your child knew nothing,  but love ❤️ ."

Wow !! An unconditional love for a child we never knew.
Less than 14 months later , we were blessed with a daughter,  and again we revisited Blessed Sacrament for our daughter's baptism. Trust in God, trust in love. Fr. Amering baptized Kristen Therese
Finally, love at Blessed Sacrament Church, April 1986 the Confirmation and Holy Eucharist Sacraments received by Linda. The Easter Vigil ceremony was officiated by Fr. Amering. God's unconditional love via the Sacraments.  My parents,  grandmother,  sister,  showed their  love and support by making the trip to Rochester.  Family love is for life.  πŸ™

Prayer for Miscarriage: A Prayer for the Parents
Heavenly Father,
At St. John the Evangelist- Spencerport NY

Thank you for the parents of this precious baby. Heal their broken hearts and strengthen their faith through this storm. Help them find comfort not only in Your word but in the words of friends or family who’ve experienced the same pain. Draw them closer to You through this tragedy and reveal Yourself to them in their time of need.

In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
