It's early Tuesday, and some random thoughts & photos.
Praise to Dr. Harris ,& shame still on Gov. George Wallace and his actions back in the Fall of 1963 @ University of Alabama. A long way in 60 years.
Not a better baseball man than Gil Hodges. His Dodgers are in the World Series, and Gil still isn't in the HOF . ☹️🤔 It's long past time that this slight to the leader of the '69 Amazins isn't rectified.

I got a lot in common with Mark Cuban, shooting the 🏀 to clear the mind. Difference is he's got me by a few $$ billion and he's got an indoor arena to shoot. Mark, I dare you to meet up in Perinton Park for a game of H-O-R-S-E. 😂

Yep, this world renowned scientist from Alabama was born while Abraham Lincoln was President of the USA. Can't lose by abiding by his 8 rules. 👍
Too too funny, but so so true. Actually, at my parents home especially when Mom was alive, political talk at the Schmitt dining room table was rare if ever. It was more of pass the gravy, mashed potatoes, turnips, spinach, or do you want apple or pumpkin pie ? How about a slice of both. Miss those Thanksgiving gatherings with Mom's fabulous foods on the table.🙏🙏

Finally, this guy.
High school friend, and renowned Chef John Doherty , now at his own Blackbarn Restaurant in NYC, and before that he was Executive Chef at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan for 23 years, and cooked for more world leaders than anyone in that position
The pandemic has negativity effected John & his business partner's Blackbarn Restaurant like most in NYC. But, John is forging ahead with his HEAVENLY HARVST food gala or ungala this year to provide over 300,000 meals to those in need.
John and I attended Catholic high school together, and as with many of our classmates learned much about faith and giving back. It's later in life that John, like many of us from HFDHS, really walk the talk, the lessons from our youth resonate during tough times.
