Love your neighbor as yourself.☺️π
Sometimes it takes a bit of effort & planning, but most times it's rather simple. What ? To put a smile on a face those who you know well, or others you really don't know that well. π
I had to plan my home & work schedule to be able to drive to Golden, CO in October, 2001 with Dad for a family wedding. It was only 7 months after Mom died. We had fun, he smiled often, and cried. I'll always remember that trip, father & son on the USA highways
I didn't have to do much planning in March, 2009 to sit with Sr. Carol Wulforst, a family cousin, during a chemo session. We talked, laughed, and prayed. I'm not sure if it was the last time I saw Carol, she lost her cancer fight and died three months later. But, she was smiling when I left her room. That's my lasting memory.
Fr. Paul from Guyana was a visiting priest at St. Elizabeth of Hungary RC Church , Melville NY in the summer of 2011. I offered him a tour of the real Long Island, he accepted.
We toured a couple of Schmitt farms, and the LI Sound. We laughed & smiled. We both had a great day.
Finally I took a friend from LI to the golf course for his last round of golf, and to his last NY Mets baseball game.
Mr. Stein was suffering from Alzheimer's , but he kept on saying this was the best round of golf ⛳, and the best baseball⚾ game. I loved both outings.
Remember the second Commandent is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." ✝️✝️
Remember your actions speak louder than words. ☺️☺️
