How much ???

From a few years ago; I've been following a post about how much a person should give to bride & groom as they are invited  to a wedding on Long Island. It amazes me the replies on how much they "should "give to the couple . It appears  there's a   preconceived notion of how much they should give. Cover the plate, give more $$$ because of the cost of LI. My governing rule is rather simple and goes back over 2,000 years :   2 Corinthians 9:6- The Cheerful Giver 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[a] will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. I  try to follow in every day life, those I hang with usually do the same. Why ?
