No Boston this year...

Maybe next year, please come to  Boston in the spring time , this was Sept 2018.
Great weekend in Boston. My partner in crime  was Rochester pal, Glenn Roberts. Friday night we enjoyed great Italian food @ Giacamos 👍 👍in the North End, closed out night with cocktails & good cigars @ Stanza dei Sigari on Hanover St. Saturday - took in NYY - Bosox game @ Fenway. Saturday night chowed on seafood @ Crab in a Bucket, viewed the Boston Harbor @ night. Again, closed out the day @ Stanza dei Sigari. Sunday - Bloody Marys at the Harbor, boats, Fauneil Hall, a cocktail & cigar @ Stanza dei Sigari. Finally, stopped at the first &  only 2 story Wegmans store in Natick MA, hometown of Doug Flutie. Great weather, fantastic food, met lots of friendly people, & good company on the drive & the escapades. 👍

God's love  🖇🔗 Tru dat.. . And if it was God’s will, then it was God’s will for Ted to die at an early age. Just like when parents lose a loved one, a parent, child, or unborn fetus . Parents suffer through miscarriages . The fetus is an initial blessing that joins the parents to new life, and in the tragedy of losing the fetus it joins them even more. The fetus’s life is still life, still a blessing .  Like having a puppy. It is a blessing to find and adopt the puppies we have, but life leads to death. As I experienced when Ted died, it can be death that occurs within the embrace of love, with people who love us. This is God’s will, too. It is all part of accepting life. Accept God’s will, which involves such incredible diversity and change, blessings, and sufferings, too. But it is not my will, it is God’s will. 4th of July , Pathmark, Cross Bronx Expressway, AJ SCHMITT AND SONS.

Many of you have heard of my infamous first solo driving of one of our market trucks on the road. ( Ref :  AUGUST 1974    But , with the 4th of July holiday weekend, my mind remembers the 4th of July weekend, 1976. Pathmark supermarkets had given AJ SCHMITT and SONS a large vegetable order for the holiday weekend.  July 2, 1976 was a Friday, and thus we could fulfill that order. Hunts Point Terminal Produce was not operational on early Saturdays or Sundays mornings. We never made trips to HPTP on Fridays or Saturdays. Thus, both trucks could be used to deliver the huge order to Pathmark warehouse, 60 miles away in Carteret NJ. And all farm workers could help harvest that order. We had a few high school guys , my brother and I included, working on the farm that summer. One of us would take a day off, and it would be rotated among the high school guys. Much more than  farming, it was about  respecting each other,  responsibility, hard work, teamwork, when it got hard,  work harder, family above all other. AJ SCHMITT AND SONS FARM ,🎥🔗 VIDEO The AJ Schmitt and Sons Farm can trace its origination to Rosedale,NY Albert & Margaret Kapplemeir Schmitt operated a vegetable farm on Merrick Blvd, they were both of German Heritage. Anthony Schmitt  was one of their sons (all became farmers in adulthood) and the last to operate the farm before it was sold in 1947. Anthony & his wife Cecilia moved their family; Joseph, Jean, Anthony Jr., & Roger to Farmingdale NY. They purchased a farm in Melville located on Ruland Rd. AJ Schmitt & Sons Farm was established.
